Po chvilce smažení nůžkami odstřihneme přímo na pánvi stopky z květenství. (Jíst stopky nebo listy černého bezu, nebo je pít v čaji, není to pravé ořechové. Mohou vyvolat zvracení.) Když jsme stopky odstřihli, tak placičky můžeme otočit a dosmažit ještě i z druhé strany.
Nakonec dáme placičky okapat na ubrousek a servírujeme je s bramborem, bramborovou kaší nebo třeba na chlebu s hořčicí, cibulí a další syrovou zeleninou.
